Turning On and Off Animations for Web Viewing

Slide animation is disabled by default for Web viewing of presentations to save bandwidth and make Web presentations more responsive. You can enable animations by selecting Tools, Options to open the Options dialog box and then clicking the General tab. Then you click the Web Options button to open the Web Options dialog box. Finally, you click the General tab and select the Show Slide Animation While Browsing check box.

The Absolute Minimum

This chapter covers many of the available configuration options for Microsoft PowerPoint. Changing these options enables you to customize your PowerPoint environment. Settings such as the default file location, AutoRecover interval, and recently used files list enable you to control how you work with your PowerPoint files. Other settings, such as chart fonts and undo levels, allow you to change how the PowerPoint editing environment functions.

In the next chapter you will begin to learn about what a database is and then learn how to use Microsoft Access, a database application. You will learn how to start a new database, add data, navigate and search the database, and set formatting.
