Adding More Files to the Recently Used Files List

PowerPoint stores a list of recently used files in the File menu; by default, it stores four files in this list. If you find that you edit or view a lot of presentations in PowerPoint, you might want to increase the number of recently used files for convenience. You can also disable the recently used file list completely if you never use it.

To change the settings for the recently used file list, open the Options dialog box by selecting Tools, Options and clicking the General tab, shown in Figure 26.2. Then you set the Recently Used File List option to the desired number by using the arrow buttons or disable the list by deselecting the Recently Used File List check box. You save your changes by clicking OK.
