Inserting Graphics

As you become more comfortable using Word, you’ll probably want to start adding nontext elements to documents. For example, you might want to add a picture of your family in a holiday letter or a product picture in a brochure. Whatever the case, Word makes it easy to add, position, and even edit graphics.

Inserting a Picture

You can insert pictures from several sources into a Word document. Word includes a clip art gallery that contains hundreds of pictures in different categories. You can also insert a picture from disk, in a variety of graphics formats. The following example assumes that you want to insert a picture that is stored on disk:
