Working with Reminders

When you create an event such as an appointment in your Outlook Calendar folder, Outlook automatically adds a reminder to the event and sets it to fire (that is, go off) 15 minutes before the event’s start time. When the reminder fires, Outlook plays a reminder sound and displays a dialog box that contains the reminder and any other triggered reminders, as shown in Figure 6.8.
