What Is an Access Report?

If you have read Chapter 27, “Database Basics,” and Chapter 28, “Beyond the Basics,” you should now understand the role that forms and queries play in an Access database. Each represents a different way to display information from the database. Both also offer a means for adding data to a database.

I think of Access reports as sort of a cross between forms and queries. A report extracts information from a database, just like a query, and it displays information much like a form. The main difference is that a report is designed for output to a printer.
