Playing What-if

One of the great things about Excel is the ability it gives you to play what-if. What if sales increased by 5% over last quarter? What if the load increased on this span by 2,000 pounds? What if output dropped by 10%?

Analyzing data in this way is not difficult at all. Just open the workbook and change values, and then view the results within the workbook as Excel recalculates the worksheets. You don’t even have to save the changes; just close the workbook and click No when Excel asks if you want to save the changes.
