Changing the Direction Excel Moves the Cursor After You Press Enter

Excel’s default behavior is to move the cursor down one cell when you press Enter. You might want to change that behavior, depending on the layout of the worksheet. For example, you might prefer to work bottom-to-top in a column.

To make such changes, you choose Tools, Options to open the Options dialog box, select the Edit tab (see Figure 22.4), and select a direction—Down, Up, Left, or Right—from the Direction drop-down list box. You can choose between.
