Using Templates: Access’s Canned Databases

Setting up a database can be a difficult task for a newcomer to Access, but fortunately, Access provides templates that help you easily create specific types of databases.

To start a new database from a template, choose File, New. Under the Templates area in the New File task pane, click the On My Computer link. When the Templates dialog box appears, click the Databases tab (shown in Figure 27.18), select the template for the type of database you want, and click OK.
