Finding and Replacing Text

A task you’ll likely need to accomplish quite often in Word is to find and possibly replace text. For example, say you want to replace every occurrence of the word lie with the phrase embellish the truth. Word makes it easy to do that (change text, not lie).

Finding Text

To locate text in a document, press Ctrl+F or choose Edit, Find to open the Find and Replace dialog box (see Figure 9.13).
