Chapter 5. All Your Email in One Handy Spot > A Quick Tour of the Inbox

A Quick Tour of the Inbox

The first time you run Outlook, a wizard steps you through the process of adding an email account, so at this point I assume you already have one set up. If you do not, you should see the section “Setting Up an Email Account,” later in this chapter, and then come back here.

Note

The Navigation pane—the left pane in the Outlook window—is a common feature for all Outlook folders. You can move between Outlook folders and perform other common tasks by using the Navigation pane. See the section “Working with the Navigation Pane,” in Chapter 2, “Office Basics,” for details on using this Outlook feature. When you understand how the Navigation pane works, you’ll be ready to start using the Inbox and other Outlook folders.
