Adding Pictures and Video Clips

Pictures and video clips can be useful additions to a presentation. Pictures can include charts or photographs or any other graphics you want to add to slides.

Adding Pictures

To insert a picture in a presentation, you first navigate to the slide where you want to insert the picture and place the cursor at the location to insert the picture. Then you select Insert, Picture, and you see that there are a number of ways to insert a picture. You can insert clip art from the Microsoft Office clip art, pictures from a scanner or digital camera, and organization charts from the Office tool. However, the most common way to insert a picture is from a file. You can select From File to open the Insert Picture dialog box. Then you locate the picture to insert and click Insert. The picture is inserted into the slide and scaled to fit appropriately. You can then use the handles on the edges of the picture to change the size or use the Picture toolbar to modify the picture.
