Getting Help

Click in the text box in the upper-right corner of the Word window that contains the placeholder text Type a question for help.

Type printing envelopes and press Enter.

The Search Results task pane appears as Word searches for information about printing envelopes. When the help topics appear, click Create and print a single envelope.

The Microsoft Office Word Help window opens. Click its Maximize button to expand the window.

INTRODUCTION

As you are using Word to do your work, you are bound to come up with questions about how to get certain things done. If you don't feel inclined to ask a co-worker or friend, you can always look up the answers yourself using Word's help system. If your computer is connected to the Internet, Word will access the help information at the Microsoft Office Web site. Otherwise, Word will display the help topics that are stored on your own computer. Either way, you have a fairly good chance of finding the answers you need.

If you want to print the topic, click the Print button at the top of the Microsoft Office Word Help window. When you see the Print dialog box, click the Print button.

Click the Close button in the Microsoft Office Word Help window.

If you like, you can type another topic to search for help about, and then click the Start Searching button.

When you are finished, close the Microsoft Word Help window if it's open, and then click the Close button in the Search Results task pane to close it.
