Starting a Presentation with the AutoContent Wizard

Click the From AutoContent Wizard option in the New Presentation task pane. (If this task pane is not visible, open the File menu and select New.)

Read the welcome information in the AutoContent Wizard dialog box and then click Next.

To specify which type of presentation you want to create, click one of the category buttons: All, General, Corporate, Projects, or Sales/Marketing.

The list of presentation types varies depending on your selection in step 3. Click the presentation type that best matches your needs, and click Next.

INTRODUCTION

Sometimes it just seems impossible to get started on a presentation. You don't even know where to begin. In these situations, you can use the AutoContent Wizard, which asks you a series of questions and uses your answers to start a presentation for you. Then you fill in the details.

TIP

Displaying the New Presentation Task Pane

If the New Presentation task pane is not visible, open the File menu and select New.

TIP

Creating Presentations

The AutoContent Wizard gets a presentation off to a quick start. For more complex presentations, use the wizard to begin creating a presentation, then add to the presentation by using templates or creating new slides from scratch.

Click the desired output option, and then click Next.

Type a title for the presentation and any items you want included on each slide (footer information, the date, slide numbers, and so on). Click Next.

Click the Finish button.

View the presentation PowerPoint creates for you.
