Part 4. Formatting Text

Part 4. Formatting Text

There are many types of ways you can format your documents in Microsoft Word. For example, you can change the font, font size, and font color; highlight the text; add a border; or perhaps even shade the background.

Then there are the old standbys for formatting your documents, such as adding bulleted lists, numbered lists, and tabs, and indenting text. This part even shows you how to make a short document look longer than it really is. How, you ask? By increasing the space between the lines and between the text characters and realigning the text. And what if you format a block of text exactly the way you want it, but now you want your entire document to look that way? Just copy the formatting. You don't even have to go through all the steps to format the text again!
