Distributing Macros Informally

I've created a few Word macros that I would like to share with my co-workers, but every time I try, they say they're unable to open the macros. What am I doing wrong?

The biggest problem when trying to share macros is security; any time Word opens a template or a document that contains macros, it applies the current security settings. If you and your co-workers are using sensible security settings (Medium or High), Word refuses to run those macros. You can digitally sign the template (or document) to silence Word's squawks of protest, but that's overkill if all you want to do is share a few simple snippets of code. A much easier alternative is to simply copy the body of the macro into an e-mail message—without the Sub line at the beginning and the End Sub line at the end. In the rest of the message, include these simple instructions on how to create a simple macro:
