Chapter 17. Word Essentials > Choosing the Right Document View

Choosing the Right Document View

Select a document view by clicking the View menu. Different document views have their own advantages. Most advanced Word users will find themselves switching views as they work on documents—particularly more complex documents—depending on what they're trying to accomplish.

TIP FROM

If the horizontal scrollbar is visible at the bottom of the document window, you'll see icons for each of the five main views—Normal, Web Layout, Print Layout, Outline, and Reading Layout—to the left of the scrollbar. If you've hidden the scrollbar, these buttons are hidden, too.
