Chapter 35. Planning and Delivering a Pr... > Using PowerPoint with a Projector

Using PowerPoint with a Projector

Experienced presenters know this scenario too well: You try to connect a portable computer to a projector, an external monitor, or the A/V system in a large conference room, but things don't go the way you expect. The video port doesn't work, the slides appear too narrow, the colors you see don't match the design you created, or the volume is barely audible.

PowerPoint includes detailed step-by-step instructions for troubleshooting projector problems. Type troubleshoot projector in the Standard toolbar's Ask a Question box, and look at the Help item titled “Troubleshoot Running a Slide Show on a Laptop and a Projector.”
