Secrets of the Office Masters: Putting a Face with Each Name

One of the coolest new Outlook features is so subtle that you might not notice it, even after using Outlook for a few months. The redesigned form for a contact item includes a placeholder for a photo, just above the Notes box and to the left of the E-mail field.


To add a photo to a contact, click the placeholder icon, or choose Actions, Add Picture. Browse to the picture file and click OK. Don't worry about the size or location of the original picture, either. Outlook converts the file to a JPEG image less than 2KB in size and attaches it directly to the contact record.
