Troubleshooting

Solving SMTP Snags

I have several Internet e-mail accounts that I use for different purposes. I have no trouble sending e-mail from one account, but all the others give me an error message when I try to send e-mail.

The most likely explanation is that your Internet service provider has blocked port 25 as an anti-spam measure. This configuration prevents you from using any outgoing mail servers except those that your ISP provides. You'll need to customize each e-mail account to point to that SMTP server. Don't forget to click the More Settings button for each account and adjust the authentication settings on the Outgoing Server tab.
