Using the PivotTable and PivotChart Wizard

You can use the PivotTable and PivotChart Wizard to create a new PivotTable or PivotChart, or to edit an existing PivotTable. (The difference between a PivotTable and a PivotChart is that one summarizes the data in the form of a table and the other in the form of a chart.) Like other wizards in Excel, the PivotTable and PivotChart Wizard walks you step-by-step through the process. The PivotChart feature is also wizard-driven (see the later section “Creating PivotCharts”).

To construct a PivotTable, follow these steps:
