Chapter 6. Function Fundamentals > Using the Watch Window

Using the Watch Window

The Watch Window helps evaluate formulas within workbooks or worksheets. It’s a formula-management tool that shows you the formula and where it is. If you share workbooks with others, the Watch Window can help identify formulas and errors within formulas. To access the Watch Window, right-click over the toolbar and select Watch Window from the drop-down list. The Watch Window docks at the top of the workbook as shown in Figure 6.20. Also, the watch window creates a split screen effect when dragged to any side of the Excel window. The Watch Window docks at the top of the workbook as shown in Figure 6.20 when you double-click its title bar.
