Excel in Practice

By using Excel’s customizing features, you can eliminate, move, or change the Excel menus to make the best use of a shared workbook, or to customize the tools you use most often. In Figure 27.25, the menus and toolbars are in default form. The scrollbars along the side and bottom are visible, and the worksheet tabs are visible as well. Figure 27.26 shows the same worksheet, but with the Excel environment changed. The toolbars are not displayed. Menus have been eliminated except the one in the upper-left corner of the window. The scrollbars and status bar are turned off, and worksheet tabs are hidden.

Figure 27.25. In the default window format, you can see the Standard and Formatting toolbars, the menu bar, the worksheet tabs, and so on.
