Exiting Outlook

When you are finished working in Outlook, you can exit the application in several ways. You can use the File menu: select File, Exit. Or you can close Outlook by clicking the Outlook window's Close (X) button. If you are connected to the Internet using a dial-up connection, you are prompted as to whether you want to log off your connection. If you want to close the dial-up connection, select Log Off in the message box.

Exiting Outlook Before Mail Is Sent or Received Outlook will complete any send or receive operations via your modem before it will actually allow you to exit the application.
