CPA Tip: Change the Appearance of Reports

You can customize your individual reports in QuickBooks, making choices for column size and fonts, the order and inclusion of columns, headers and footers, and so on. Instead of performing all those steps each time you want to change a report, make some universal decisions that will apply to all your reports, and then change the settings in your report preferences.

Choose Edit, Preferences from the QuickBooks menu, and click the Reports & Graphs icon at the left side of the Preferences window. Click the Company Preferences tab, and then click the Format button. The Report Format Preferences window will appear.
