Writing Checks in QuickBooks

Not all your company checks are written in response to bills. You write some checks regularly, without ever receiving a bill—rent, for example. Or perhaps you have to run out to make a quick purchase and you don’t plan to bother with a purchase order or entering a bill—you just want to write a check for the purchase.

Use the following steps to enter a check without creating an associated bill:
