Revising Estimates

In the normal course of business when you are working on a job, you might find that you need to revise your original estimate. Perhaps the nature of the job has changed, the customer has asked you to perform more or less work, the price of parts you expected to purchase has increased, or you found that the work is going to take longer (or not as long) as you had originally anticipated.

Instead of waiting until you complete the job to prepare the final invoice, you can make adjustments to your estimate as you go along. This way, you can always bill from the estimate, eventually billing 100 percent of the job as estimated.
