Receiving Cash

Companies that do business in cash, such as retail stores and other types of companies that support walk-in business without prior invoicing, need to enter cash receipts so that income is properly recorded.

The following example assumes that you are using the standard QuickBooks Cash Sales form. If you have customized the cash sales form to include fields that are different from the standard form, some of these instructions might not apply.
