Receiving Credit Card Payments from Customers

When a customer uses a credit card such as MasterCard or Visa to pay you, the credit card receipt gets deposited just like cash.

Later—usually monthly—you will receive a statement from the institution to which your credit card payments are deposited. The statement includes a fee. If you pay this fee by writing a check, follow the procedure for paying bills that is described in Chapter 16, “Making Purchases and Recording Payments.”
