Exiting Outlook

When you are finished working in Outlook, you can exit the application in a couple of ways. You can use the File menu: select File, Exit. Or you can close Outlook by clicking the Outlook window's Close (X) button. In cases where you are connected to the Internet using a dial-up connection, you are prompted as to whether you want to log off your connection. If you want to close the dial-up connection, select Log Off in the message box

In this lesson, you learned about the Outlook window, how to start and exit Outlook, and how to use the mouse to get around the program. In the next lesson, you will learn about the different Outlook e-mail account types and how to add them to the Outlook configuration. You also will learn how to access e-mail accounts to edit their settings and how to delete unneeded e-mail accounts.
