Adding URL Hyperlinks

One way to add some Web connectivity to a PowerPoint slide presentation is by adding hyperlinks to a slide. A hyperlink is a link to a particular Web page, file on your computer, or even a person's e-mail address. In PowerPoint, hyperlinks can be added to a slide as text or you can create action buttons that serve as a hyperlink. For example, you might have a button that takes you to your company's home page (the top page at its Internet site) at the bottom of every slide.

Plain English

Hyperlink A graphic, text entry, or button that supplies a quick link to a Web page, a file on your computer, or an e-mail address. Hyperlinks that specify URLs (Uniform Resource Locators, or Web addresses) are used to navigate from page to page on the World Wide Web.
