Creating a New Slide Containing an Organizational Chart

You can create a new slide that contains a placeholder for an organizational chart. Follow these steps:

1.
Select the slide in the Slides pane (or Outline pane) that will provide the position in the presentation for the new slide (the new slide will be inserted after the selected slide).

2.
Select the Insert menu, and then select New Slide. The new slide will appear in the presentation and open in the Slide view. The Slide Layout task pane will also open in the PowerPoint window.

3.
Scroll down through the layouts provided in the task pane and select the slide layout that contains Organizational Chart placeholder (it is the second to last layout provided in the task pane). The layout will be assigned to the slide (see Figure 15.2).
