Creating a New Slide Containing a Chart

An alternative to inserting a chart in an existing slide is to create a new slide that contains a placeholder for a chart. PowerPoint provides three different slide layouts that contain a chart placeholder object. You can create a slide that contains a title, bulleted list, and chart in two variations, with either the chart on the left or right of the slide. A third alternative provides a slide layout that contains a title and a chart only.

To create a new slide containing a chart, follow these steps:
