Using Charts in Presentations

Because your PowerPoint presentations serve the basic purpose of allowing your audience to visualize the subject matter that you are presenting, the use of charts is a great way to visually represent numerical data. Although many people find tables of statistics intimidating, providing a "picture" of the data in a form of a chart will greatly enhance audience understanding of important information as you give your presentation.

PowerPoint provides a Chart feature that enables you to create several different chart types. The following are some of the commonly used chart types:
