Adding Hyperlinks to a Worksheet

A hyperlink is a cell containing text (or values) or a picture that, when clicked, takes the user to a Web page, to a file on your hard disk, or to a file on a local network. Adding hyperlinks to Excel worksheets that you then publish to the Web makes it easy for users viewing your Web content to jump to other pages on your Web site.

Using hyperlinks in Excel worksheets that you do not publish for the Web enable you to quickly jump to another worksheet or workbook that contains information related to the Excel data that is currently being viewed in Excel. To add a hyperlink, follow these steps:
