Lesson 20. Saving and Publishing Files t... > Viewing Excel Data in a Web Browser

Viewing Excel Data in a Web Browser

After you have published your Excel worksheet or workbook to a Web server (or a location on your computer's hard drive), you can view the data in any Web browser. Excel data that you publish as interactive data is best viewed in Internet Explorer (4.0 or better).

To view the Excel data, open your Web browser. Then, specify the Web site to which you published the Excel data in the Address box. Or, in the case of data that you published to your local hard drive, select File, Open in your browser window. In the Open dialog box that appears, type the location and name of the file, or use the Browse button to browse for the file. Click OK to close the Open dialog box and view the file.
