Creating a New Presentation from an Existing One

Another way to create a new presentation is simply to copy an existing presentation whose content and format are similar to what you want to create:

  1. Select File, New to display the New Presentation task pane if it doesn't already appear.

  2. Click Choose Presentation on the New Presentation task pane. The New from Existing Presentation dialog box opens, seen in Figure 2.10.

  3. Select the existing presentation on which you want to base the new one.

  4. Click the Create New button. PowerPoint creates a copy of the original presentation, which you can modify.
