Setting Up Outlook As an Exchange Client

To use Outlook as an Exchange client, you must have a connection to a server on which Exchange Server is installed, have a mailbox on that Exchange Server, and have a Microsoft Exchange Server account set up in Outlook. The subjects of establishing a connection to a server and setting up a mailbox on that server are beyond the scope of this book. Consult the server administrator if you need help with these matters.

Verifying the Existence of an Exchange Server E-mail Account

To check whether you have a Microsoft Exchange Server account in Outlook, with any Information viewer displayed, select Tools, E-mail Accounts to display the E-mail Accounts dialog box. Click View or Change Existing E-mail Accounts, and then click Next to display a dialog box similar to the one shown in Figure 22.1.
