Creating a Message

The following information assumes you're using the default settings for Outlook: HTML as the message transmission format and Word as your mail editor. You'll notice some differences if you've selected a different transmission format as the default and if you chose to use Outlook's native editor.

Opening the Message Form

To create a message, start by displaying the Inbox Information viewer. Click New at the left end of the Standard toolbar, or select Actions, New Mail Message. Outlook displays a message form similar to that shown in Figure 4.3 or Figure 4.4, depending on which mail editor you're using.
