Part VIII: Appendixes > Outlook Registry Keys

Outlook Registry Keys

In addition to the files listed previously in this appendix, Outlook saves information in the Windows registry—a database that contains setup information for Windows and applications that run under Windows, as well as information about Windows users.

The registry database is maintained in several files, but you can access the information in those files by using the Registry Editor utility without having to be aware of the files that contain the information. Appendix F, "Working with the Windows Registry," contains information about how you can use the Registry Editor to examine and modify setup information in the registry.
