Troubleshooting

Time Zones and Meeting Invitations

Outlook saves the times for appointments in Universal Coordinated Time (UCT) and converts those times according to the Windows time-zone setting to your local time. If you start out by using the wrong time-zone setting and subsequently switch to the correct time zone, you'll find that all your existing appointment times have changed. You can, however, make a change to the time-zone setting without changing the displayed appointment times.

To make this change, export the items in your Calendar folder to a file, change your Windows time zone, and then import the Calendar items back into Outlook. The Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q181170, "Changing the Time Zone Without Changing Appointment," describes this process in detail.
