Chapter 10. Managing Calendars > Sharing a Calendar

Sharing a Calendar

You can share your Calendar folder or individual Calendar items with other people. The principal purpose of sharing calendars is to simplify the process of scheduling meetings. If other people make their calendars available to you, you can schedule meetings when the people you want to invite are free. Likewise, if you share your own calendar, other people can invite you to meetings at times when you're not busy with other activities.

Setting Up Calendar Sharing

If you're using Outlook as a client for an Exchange server, sharing calendar information is automatic. All you have to do is open the Free/Busy Options dialog box, shown in Figure 10.2, and set the number of future months of your calendar you want to publish and how often you want your published calendar to be updated.
