Extending Journaling Capabilities

By default, Outlook can create Journal items corresponding to e-mail messages (including those involved with scheduling meetings and assigning tasks), and it also can create Journal items each time you work with Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word documents. You can extend the Journaling capabilities in several ways, as described in the next few sections.

Journaling Phone Calls

Outlook can automatically create Journal items for phone calls you make, providing you use Outlook to place those calls.
