Organizing Contact Items

Many people start using Outlook quite casually and don't think through all the implications before they start creating Outlook items, contact items among them. People are busy; they grab onto what they need and start charging ahead. New users often ignore Outlook's cate gories but later wish they hadn't. By that time, they might have several hundred Outlook items—too many to go back and individually assign categories to.

Here's a way to simplify assigning categories to existing contact items. After you've done this, you can easily assign colors to each category.
