Saving a Contact Item

After you've finished entering information for a contact item in a contact form, you can save that item in your default Contacts folder by choosing Save and Close in the contact form's Standard toolbar. Alternatively, you can open the form's File menu and choose:

  • Save— This saves the item in the default Contacts folder and leaves the form open. Information about the current item is displayed in the form.

  • Save and New— This saves the item in the default Contacts folder and leaves the form open with all fields empty, ready for you to enter information about another contact.

  • Save As— This saves the item in a specific format, as described in the following paragraphs.

  • Save Attachments— This saves attachments to the item as subsequently described.
