Troubleshooting

Contact Information

When you select Contacts in the Outlook Bar or Folder List, you might see the message There are no items to show in this view. That might puzzle you if you know your Contacts folder does, indeed, contain Contact items. The reason for not being able to display information about contacts is probably because your Contacts folder isn't enabled for use as an Outlook Address Book.

To solve the problem, right-click Contacts in the Outlook Bar or Address List to display a context menu, and click Properties in that menu. Select the Outlook Address Book tab in the Properties dialog box. You'll probably see that the Show This Folder as an E-mail Address Book box is not checked. Check the box, and then click OK to close the dialog box. Now, the Contacts Information viewer should show information about your contacts.
