Chapter 9. Creating Calendars > Viewing Reminders

Viewing Reminders

When you create an appointment or meeting in Outlook, you can choose to be given a reminder a certain time before the appointment or meeting is due to begin. Also, if you create a task in Outlook, you can choose to be given a reminder a certain time before that task is due for completion. If you ask to be given a reminder for an appointment, a meeting, or a task, Outlook displays a reminder at the appropriate time. For this to happen, Outlook must be running, either visible onscreen or minimized. If Outlook isn't running at the time a reminder should be displayed, the reminder is displayed when you next start Outlook.

Previous versions of Outlook displayed only one reminder at a time. Outlook 2002 improves the display of reminders by showing all current reminders in a single dialog box, as shown in Figure 9.25.
