Chapter 14. Word Essentials > Word Startup Switches

Word Startup Switches

You can control how Word starts with command-line switches. These switches work from a command line, the Start/Run box, and as switches in Windows shortcuts. For example, to start Word with the /a switch enabled, click Start, Run, type winword /a, and press Enter.

If you are frustrated because you can't get Word to start, see "Word Won't Start" in the "Troubleshooting" section at the end of this chapter.
