Troubleshooting

Not All AutoCorrect Entries Work in PowerPoint

Q1:An AutoCorrect entry works fine in Word, but the exact same entry doesn't work in PowerPoint.
A1: Any AutoCorrect entry in Word that produces a formatted result will not be available in PowerPoint. If you need the AutoCorrect entry, open Word, delete the entry, and replace it with one that doesn't produce a formatted result.

Excel Tables Don't Display Properly

Q1:After using Paste Special to put an Excel table in a slide, the placeholder is big enough, but the table doesn't line up correctly. As a result, I can't see all the cells on the slide.
A1: Double-click the table to open it in Excel 2000. Use the arrow keys to make the top-left cell in the range active. Click anywhere outside the table to return to the PowerPoint editing window. In most cases, this technique will line up your table properly.
