When setting up workbooks that will be used by several people, you might want to link text or numbers from a cell in the workbook to a chart, so that when the chart is shown, it's representative of the worksheet. Suppose you have a worksheet that performs many calculations and the chart is the outcome of the calculations, but is titled differently every time a calculation is done. In this case, you'll want to see the different title in the chart for each scenario or calculation done on the spreadsheet. To link a cell to a chart, just select the chart and type the formula =cell, substituting the cell reference for cell. A text box shows up in the chart displaying the value of the referenced cell. The text box can be formatted like any other text box. When text or a number is generated in the cell, it shows up in the text box on the chart as well.
