Troubleshooting

Quick Sum

I have multiple ranges to add to aSUM formula. What's the best way to do this?

There are two simple ways to do this: Start the SUM formula with =sum(, select your first cell or range, press the Ctrl key and select the next set, and so on. This method automatically separates your cells or ranges with a comma separator. The second way to create a SUM formula with multiple reference arguments is to type =SUM( and click the first cell or group of cells to be used in the formula. Then, press Shift+F8. Each range that you highlight from that point will be added to the formula with the necessary comma separator for that argument.
